After almost 1 year of moving in together with Mr. P. in our (not so) new apartment, we finally rolled up the sleeves and designed our own home Office. In my home office inspirations post, I summed up a few styles I like. Our office is a combination of those few.
We DIY-ed thee table by fixing two OSB boards together to become a table top of 220×100 and combining this with the IKEA LEBBERG table support in black. We used massive gold-ish hinges on the top to give the table a rougher look.
The office chair is an original Friso Kramer from his first production series. I found this chair and the Kristian Vedel wooden bird at the annual Brussels design market. Me Happy!
To extend the natural look from the OSB top, we combined objects with natural colors and finished to put on the display. A combination between the cardboard table clock from Kartoons, The paper bag from my beloved be-poles and the Ikea Kvissel with cork details desk organizer for example. This gives harmony and peace to the space. The colorful poster from the 2015 Ikea Art Event brings just the right amount of color on the wall.
I am in love with our new office. It is big enough for both of us to work on. This way we don’t have to work separately in different rooms anymore. It is enough to bring in a second chair and start working side by side. By positioning the office facing the exterior, we get tons of natural light during the day. It is a blast to work here.
