My older sister’s name is Neda. She is the nicest, most genuine person I have ever met in my life. I don’t say this because she is my sister. I say this because it is true.
With their wedding on the way, I decided to take over the creative part ( duh! ). I am taking care of all the decorations , wedding favors and the invitations. And the good news is… I am DIY ing A LOT for this :).
Isn’t the the funnest part of the wedding the preparations of the big day? Just like when you are going on holidays. Finding out about new things and getting inspired by other people’s experiences and dream away…
Seen the fact that wedding costs can rise very quickly, we wanted to figure out some low budget invitation idea which was unique and classy at the same time. After a while of scrolling through Pinterest we decided to go for a wedding newspaper invitation. I wrote a few fun memories and facts about the future husband and wife. Things like how and where they met, their first trip, where he popped the question (and the ring :p) , … . This way the guests get a little bit of background information before heading to the party. Our mutual favorite color is turquoise (or Tiffany’s blue) so the color theme of the wedding and the invitations was an easy choice to make.
I printed the invitation on A4’s and sealed them with a turquoise ribbon and a golden wax stamp. We got ton’s of positive reactions about the invitations: creative, fun, classy and cute were the words the guests used to complement them. I am pretty happy with how they came out eventually.
What do you think? If you have any wedding party decoration ideas or tips, please let me know about them in the comments.
